Restoration Hardware
Greenwich, Connecticut
As is the case with many United States Post Office buildings, they are being sold off and re purposed for new uses. In this case, Restoration Hardware retrofitted this Nationally Registered Historic Building. This high-end retailer converted the building and added roof terraces to show case both their interior and exterior furnishings. We assisted them through the Municipal Review process then through construction and finally to obtain their Certificate of Occupancy. Along the way we were also the Landscape Architects that coordinated a public private partnership for the renovations of the World War Monument Park right outside their front door. In this capacity, we worked with Restoration Hardware, the Planning and Zoning Agency and the Town’s Recreation and Parks Department to develop and implement a new planting design. As the liaison between the Town and Restoration Hardware we communicated with both parties as necessary to coordinate responsibilities and even assist with the sourcing of plant material.
